Never Undercoated Southern California car. Rust free except for an overlay below the battery tray. Longitudinal, floors and all sheet metal all original. Wimbledon White (originally red), painted white for the Type R theme. Inner rear suspension tabs reinforced (known weak area with improved suspension and tires). Smoothed Black top. Rocker panels are steel (new fiberglass set included)
Stock F20C mated to 901 side shift. GT theme without flares. Scope was to keep a pure 914 look and feel. One pull to 9k and you will be hooked! Original build intent was track oriented but changed direction to a street car. Never been tracked.
Dangerously fast from 6000 to 9000 rpm with 240hp @ 8300 rpm, 8900 rpm red line and sounds sweet. (similar power curve to the original GT's 2.0 rated at 210 hp @ 8000rpm). Will outrun most Six's. Reminds me of 2.2S six conversion I had in high school.
Next upgrades I was planning: Boxster front calipers, Full Carpeted interior, reconfigure dash, ITB's, Removal of stock engine mount brackets for a weight saving and cleaner look.
